About - Renovations Rome Guest House

Domus Australia

Substantial renovation, comprising both architectural and construction works, was required to create the wonderful pilgrim centre of Domus Australia.

Our plan was to create a real Australian flavour throughout the complex and this has been achieved through the use of Australian materials, furnishings and many artworks from a number of famous Australian artists.

The renovations were the result of over two years of detailed planning by architects and expert advisors, commenced in September 2009.  The builders who undertook the renovation works, Castelli, have been heavily involved in Church projects since the times of Pope Pius XI (who went to school with the original Castelli builder)  and have built many significant Church buildings.
