Domus Australia is a boutique pilgrim guest house in Rome, offering a calm and welcoming refuge from the busy tourist pace of the Eternal City.
It was established by the Catholic Church in Australia, undergoing a three-year restoration before Pope Benedict XVI formally opened it in October 2011.
Offering a peaceful, warm and friendly environment, the Domus Australia complex comprises four ‘blocks’ surrounding a central internal garden courtyard. The 32 bright and spacious guest rooms all have ensuite facilities with walk-in showers.
Our English speaking staff can help you plan your stay in the Eternal City, including Papal Audiences, visiting the Vatican Museums, following St Mary McKillop’s routes, and so much more.
Domus Australia welcomes guests of all nationalities and faiths. It proudly holds a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence based on reviews from past guests; many referring to this unique guest house as their ‘home in Rome’.
